PT Indonesia Asahan Alumunium (Persero) - Inalum is a state-owned company in Indonesia running business in alumunium smelter and power plant business. The Company operates alumunium smelter plant in Kuala Tanjung, Sei Suka District, Batu Bara Regency North Sumatera. While its power plants is located at Paritohan, Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatra Province. Inalum was first established in 1976 as a joint venture between the Government of Indonesia and Nippon Asahan Aluminium Co., Ltd (NAA). NAA is Japanese consortium of 12 Japanese investors, including Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation. After 37 years in operation, Inalum become a state-owned company after the Government of Indonesia officially taken over Inalum from NAA in December 2013.
